About the Blog
This is a blog about fandom, politics, teaching writing, and whatever else is entertaining me at the moment.

About Me
I’m a PhD candidate in Rhetoric and Writing at a big land-grant university. As a scholar, I wrestle with evangelical rhetoric, fan studies, and how to be a better teacher of writing. I also write extensively (sometimes even academically) about metatextuality, fanfiction, and the American television show Supernatural

In my previous life, I worked for a long series of non-profits, a (losing) Presidential campaign, an evil defense contractor, and a for-profit university. In this one, I’m lucky enough to be a teacher of writing and, every now and then, literature.

You are the crazy kind of awesome I LOVE to stumble across on the ‘net. In case no one told you this today – thank you for being you. Today, you made laugh, think and read for longer than I had intended.
